Amazon Fee Calculator FAQ
How do I calculate my Amazon fees?
Add the referral fee (category percentage of total sales price with a per-item minimum), any media closing fee, fulfillment (FBA tier fee or your FBM shipping), storage for the months in stock, a returns allowance, and your plan fee. Net = total sales − those fees − product cost − inbound shipping. The how-to page walks a full worked example.
How much does Amazon charge for fees total?
A typical 15%-category item fulfilled by FBA surrenders roughly 30–45% of the sale price across all fee lines. Your number depends on category percentage, size tier, storage time and plan — that variance is the reason for this calculator.
How to avoid Amazon fees?
You cannot avoid referral or fulfillment fees on orders, but you can reduce them: pick 8%-category products (computers) over 45% ones (device accessories), right-size packaging to drop a tier, keep storage months short, and amortize the Professional plan over enough units that the $0.99-per-item plan costs more.
Are the fee numbers here official?
Referral percentages, per-item minimums, plan fees (US and UK) and UK storage rates are quoted from Amazon public pricing pages — each line links its source with the checked date. FBA size-tier fees and all India rates are editable estimates, badged amber, because Amazon publishes those only in Seller Central rate cards.
How to calculate Amazon shipping cost?
For FBA, the fulfillment fee by size tier replaces per-order shipping — pick your tier in the calculator. For FBM, enter your actual carrier cost as the shipping line; if the buyer pays shipping, add it to “shipping charged to buyer” so referral applies to it too.
Which marketplaces are supported?
Amazon.com (US), Amazon.co.uk (UK) and Amazon.in (India) — switch inside the tool or use the dedicated UK and India pages.
Do you store my product data anywhere?
No. Everything runs client-side in your browser; the last calculation is saved only in your device localStorage so the tool reopens where you left off. Reset clears it.
Is this tool affiliated with Amazon?
No — it is an independent calculator. “Amazon” is used descriptively; official rates belong to Amazon and are linked at the line level so you can verify everything.
